Eden & Jack’s Meadow Wedding

Wind, wildflowers, and a veil borrowed from a grandmother — some days arrange themselves.

Eden wrote in her booking form that she wanted “nothing fancy, just everyone we love in a field.” The field turned out to be her uncle’s meadow, the fancy turned out to be unavoidable, and the wind — the glorious, veil-snatching wind — turned out to be the day’s unofficial photographer.

Golden hour did not disappoint

We stole twenty minutes at dusk while guests found their seats for dinner. Jack, who had claimed to hate photographs, asked if we could “do that walking one again.” Those frames — laughing, mid-stride, her borrowed veil horizontal — are the ones now hanging eight feet wide in their hallway.

The lesson I keep relearning

Leave room in the timeline and the day fills it with something better than planned. Eden and Jack’s gallery is 600 frames of organised joy, but the ten everyone asks about were entirely unscripted: wind, laughter, and two people completely at ease.

Eden’s review said the families are still talking about the photographs. Honestly? So am I.
